This unit uses the highly rated Fleck 5600 back flushing head to back flush and clean the media. You program the control head for when it needs back flushed

The Calcite media (& Corosex media in systems for lower pH) used in this system is the highest grade media for treating your water. It acts as a buffer, treating the aggressive acidic water and neutralizing it to normal range. This helps prevent corrosion of your plumbing and fixtures, cutting down on costly repairs and maintenance.
